Q. How should I prepare my Fresh Turkey for the oven?
A. We clean the turkey and place it in the proper roasting position so it will be oven-ready.  Just remove the packaging & add your favorite seasoning.
Q: At what temperature should I cook a Fresh Turkey?
A: Recommended cooking temperature is 400° for 30 minutes; Reduce to 325° in a  conventional oven.    
Q. Should I baste the Turkey throughout the cooking time?
A. You may baste the turkey every fifteen minutes throughout the cooking time. 
Q: How can I tell when the Turkey is done?
A: The best way to determine doneness is by inserting an instant read thermometer into the thickest part of the Turkey, away from the bone.
Q: How long should I cook a Fresh Turkey? 

*The following is based on an oven temperature of 400° for the first 30 minutes; Reduced to 325° for the remaining time.

A: Fresh turkeys should be cooked to 165°.
Q: Can I carve the Turkey right out of the oven?
A: For easier carving, let the Turkey rest for 15 minutes before slicing.
